Artists reception Friday, August 16th, 7-9 pm
Susan Haas and Joshua Dean Wiley join forces in this expressive interpretative exhibit of 2 and 3 dimensional artwork of sky and sea. Haas, inspired by the everchanging sea, uses glass and the blow torch to create her interpretive pieces. Haas states she is enthralled with taking a liquid and shaping it with “tools, heat, physics and imagination, to produce a solid piece of beauty that can be held.” Wiley’s unique and colorful Caelestis series are painted with a myriad of layers, creating texture, color & movement. He paints his world with elemental earth tones and metallics– iron oxide, chromium oxide, silver and gold. You won’t want to miss this one time pairing exhibit.
