• ” Colors: Beyond the Line” Artistic Pairing: Brian Larkin & Barbara Cone

    Two artists and two historical art processes come together in this artistic pairing of Brian Larkin and returning guest artist Barbara Cone.  Larkin, a master in historical Provincetown white line wood cut techniques and “father ” of black line wood cut prints, brings his skillful renderings of local scenes of Provincetown and Providence.  Cone employs the centuries old art medium of encaustics (a beeswax-based paint containing beeswax, resin for hardness and pigment for color) to create expressions of the natural world.  This exhibit is sure to delight the senses.


  • “East Coast Impressionism; West Coast Neo-Tonalism” Artist Pairing: Rob Longley & Jon Francis

    East Coast artist Rob Longley & West Coast artist Jon Francis meet up in this spectacular exhibit of Impressionsim and Neo-Tonalism.  Both artists, although embraced their respective teachings of their schools of art, forged beyond the limits of their earlist teachings to create unique styles embodied in their current works of art.  Longley, master of the Cape School of Art, often employs a brighter, chromatic use of color while returning guest artist Jon Francis stretches beyond the simplified mood paintings of traditional tonalists.  This is a unique, one time pairing of these two master artists and one you will want to save the date on your calendar.
